Services

1. Lending

General rules:
  • Each lending transaction (lending, taking back and renewal) needs you have a reader's card with you.
  • You may borrow only in the opening hours of the library with your own valid reader's card. For validating your reader's card you have to pay your debts. 
  • Students may borrow maximum six (6) documents. 
  • You are responsible for the documents you borrowed. 
  • Lost or damaged documents must be supplied or paid at the fee the library says.
Documents to loan:
  • The documents having no sign on them and shown to be loanable in the online catalogue.
  • The documents received via interlibrary loan and not prohibited to loan by the sender library. 
Documents not to loan:
  • documents with some distinctive sign:
  • reading room collection: signed with a white sign on the books 
  • collection on institutional history Helytörténeti állomány: signed with a green sign on the books
  • journals, newspapers
  • standards
  • theses
  • documents received via interlibrary loan and prohibited to loan by the sender library.
Time duration of loans:
  • lecture notes and required literature: 3 weeks,
  • others: 4 weeks.
  • The deadline can be renewed only one time.
  • Overdue fee must be paid in the case you are over the deadline. Overdue fee is counted daily and per document; the fees are found in the menu About us - Rates.
  • Users are informed via e-mail about the overdue fee. In the case someone does not pay the overdue fee, the library considers legislative measures. 
Lost or damaged documents can be supplied by the follows: 
  • Lost or damaged document may be supplied with the same or later edition. The offered document can be accepted only in the case its condition and cover is good.  
  • If the lost or damaged document cannot be supplied, the library can claim its price in cash. 
2. Reservation

Documents from the library's collection but are in loan at the moment of search may be reserved. 

Reservation may be asked in person at the lending desk or via e-mail (konyvtar@uniduna.hu) with the precise data of the document (Author: Title, Publisher, date) and the barcode of the reader's card. 

We are informing our users via e-mail. We store the documents for five (5) days. 

3. Interlibrary loan

Documents that are not in the collection of the library but can be borrowed from other libraries, we get via interlibrary loan. Interlibrary loan may be asked in person at the lending desk or via e-mail (kkozi@uniduna.hu) with the precise data of the document (Author: Title, Publisher, date) and the barcode of the reader's card.

The deadline and the conditions of lending are always determined by the sender library. The costs of sending the document back is paid by the user. 

Articles or chapters will be sent as a copy or in digitalized form via e-mail. The price of the photocopy or scanning is always determined by the sender library.

4. Reference
  • information about the library, the library system, the catalogue and the databases and their usage;
  • information about the collection of the library;
  • information about information literacy and research methodology;
  • professional reference.
5. Reading at the library

Reading room collection may be read and used at the library.

6. Other sevices:

Printing, copying and scanning

The library provides the opportunity and infrastructure to take (photo)copies of its collection (except standards and theses), and printing or scanning of own materials or free access contents in the internet - in full complience with copyright and related rights. Librarians help if needed. the fees are found in the menu About us - Rates.

Computers

There are 35 computers for the users in the library that can be used according to the follows: 
  • Students and teachers who use the computers for their studies or research work always have priority;
  • Citizens of the University may use the computers for free;
  • Computers must not be used for business, illegal and immoral activities; users must not disturb others with their activity.

  • catalogue
  • CD/DVD-ROMs.
